Food Vacations: Tasty Vacation Destinations

Food is something we all have in common. We all eat food to live! It's a tasty common ground we share, but every culture and region has their specialties. Taking a food vacation to anywhere is an educational, mind-opening experience and it is incredible how much we can learn about how people live by the foods that they eat and how they prepare them. From casual Spanish bodegas to fancy French restaurants or the streets of Morocco, food almost defines some cultures. The smell of the sea and fresh seafood, a bakery or creamery - all of these can produce strong emotions of a time and place, taking us back there with our senses.

I have been profoundly changed by food as it has drawn me to different countries to taste what they have to offer. Because of food I have made friends, pursued a career as a chef, learned other languages, made people smile, and satisfied the unsatiable hunger for a life of excitement. I would like to encourage other people to travel and learn as I did, their appreciation for food and different ways of life.

Food Vacations In The U.S.
There are many places to visit even within our own country that are beautiful, tasty, exotic and adventurous with activities for everyone.

International Food Vacations
If you are feeling like going a step further, Europe is a fascinating destination. I will never forget the first time I saw the old buildings and streets that are so incredibly foreign to Americans like myself. The castles, churches, theaters...Everything was like being in a museum! And then there was the food. The fresh markets in Nice and Italy still come back to me in my dreams. You can't imagine the produce, flowers and cheeses that fill the stands in the streets. The bodegas in Spain are really something to experience. Spanish wines are among my favorite pleasures in life, and paired with fresh Spanish anchovies and pan con tomate makes for a simple combination you will not find anywhere else. If you are ready for the trip and tastes of a lifetime
