Kid Cooking Websites: Helpful tricks, tips and tools to get them cooking healthy
I have viewed numerous websites in search of helpful information on how to get kids to cook and eat healthy foods,
and there were a lot of good ones, and some, well, not so good ones. Here are a few that I found to actually show
me something new and different, or offered a resource that I appreciated.

If you have ever felt bad about buying all of that pre-packaged baby food that you know you wouldn't eat yourself,
this is a good website to take a look at. There are recipes by age group: from 6-9 months, 10-12 months, toddlers and
big kids - there are recipes for children of all ages. No more strange-smelling jar food! You can do it yourself!
There is also information on buying fresh food at the farmer's market, vitamin and mineral information for kids, kid-
friendly restaurant reviews, and recipes by food group.

Wow. Missy Chase Lapine is a former publisher of Eating Well Magazine, a member of Parenting Magazine's team of experts, and
a cooking instructor at culinary schools in New York and she has some very useful tips to offer on how to sneak
healthy foods into your kids' food. We're talking serious stuff here: carrots, sweet potatoes and wheat germ in pancakes,
blueberries and spinach into brownies and white beans into chocolate chip cookies! She has her own books with more
of this information and some of her own recommended reading.
